On the 22nd Jun 2016, the odometer on the bike clicked over to 6000km. Just one day short of 2 years since the first commuter ride on the bikes. We weren’t commuting at the time, in fact we were on holiday in the Hawke’s Bay area, doing the third of 3 days cycling the cycle trails. We did a total of 150+ kms over the three days, most with the power turned off on the bikes. The trails are for the most part dead flat, following railway lines and river stop banks, with some coastal trails thrown in. Any power used was on the road sections, any surprise hills up onto stop banks etc, or against the wind at the end of long days. Great times!
